About Me

I began my gardening qualifications in 2005, after deciding on a career change. I have always had a love of gardening which has been passed down through the family, so this felt like the right move for me. Since then I have transformed gardens of all shapes and sizes in Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and London.
I have now moved to Cornwall , after spending holidays here religiously, every year, since I was a teenager.
I am enjoying the variation in planting and design that the Cornwall climate permits and demands!
In my spare time I love walking, modern jive dancing and pottering in my own garden.

My Approach

I take a highly collaborative approach to your garden's design.
I believe that when a designer has created your garden they should be confident that they have created the garden that is right for you . When your garden has been completed it will continue to evolve and I will be on hand to assist or advise on any issues, pruning or maintenance should I be needed.
Your garden can be a huge aspect of your life. I want to help you make your garden into the garden you dream of, whether that be a relaxing spot to entertain, to appreciate wildlife, to encourage your children or animals outside or just somewhere that makes you smile.

"I just wanted to let you know how much pleasure our garden is giving us.  We have had a burst of new flowers and  new growth of the shrubbery.  It is looking so beautiful and I know it will just get better and better.  As I said to you before, every time we open the front door we cant help but smile as our attention is immediately drawn through the house out towards our new oasis.  Thank you!" -Mrs Omaar

For whatever you require in your garden, I am on hand to help with suggestions and ideas to remodel.

"We found Jacqui through a recommendation from a builder.

She came to see us and spent a few hours exploring who we were, what we wanted from our garden, who visited, what colours/flowers we liked. She was incredibly personable and professional yet, talking to Jacqui is like confiding in friend, she has a way of helping you relax and feel comfortable while encouraging you to express your inner (garden) desires.

A few weeks later she returned with a detailed plan for the required building work, this was a more detailed schedule than any of the builders proposed. She produced a water colour plan of what the finished garden could look like, with a schedule of every proposed plant, shrub and tree. It looked beautiful, we were hooked and commissioned her for the job.

Once her recommended builder/landscaper had quoted, we initiated construction or, more accurately, the demolition of our existing patio and raised flower beds. It took a little longer than envisaged (due to a drainage issue) , a total of sixteen weeks, in fairness it was a big job. Jacqui  monitored and frequently checked to ensure building was proceeding as needed . The builder is a pedant, everything was millimetre precise, the result is excellent.

With all the flower beds cut and topsoil added Jacqui, with a little assistance from us began planting, trees, shrubs, plants and bulbs, all were placed precisely as per her plan. Now, a year on, we could not be more pleased with the results and are constantly complimented on our beautiful garden. Would we recommend Jacqui, yes without hesitation, she is an incredibly talented garden designer with that rare practical ability of interpreting your dreams. Thank you Jacqui."  -  Mr and Mrs Churcher
