Your Garden
Your individual space should suit you. Your preferences are paramount in the design to ensure the garden speaks to you. You could favour a rockery, a pond, a wildlife area, a BBQ/outdoor kitchen area or large dining area
Garden Sizes
No two gardens are the same size, there are likely to be different heights, sun levels, existing plants and boundary issues. I will help your garden to reach it's full potential. Whether that be navigating clay or chalk soil, unsightly views or coastal winds.
Garden Styles
Whether you are looking for a modern garden with straight lines, or a cottage garden with curves and hidden areas. Your vision can become reality.
My older client could not reach the top of her garden and had been given permission for herself and her dog to access the field at the top of the garden. She also wanted no grass and the ability to reach all areas to garden by herself.
We created a garden that provides interesting views from all angles, with gentle steps and landing areas up to the top of the garden. We incorporated a rockery area and stone water feature, as well as a pergola dining area and potting shed close to the house.
As often happens, the renovation of a house precedes the garden, resulting in a blank and possibly overgrown canvas. Priority was to be given to screening the view of houses and providing a beautiful garden for the client who had set up her writing studio in the converted garage. The client requested a Moroccan feel to the garden to match aspects of the house.
After professionally disposing of the hidden asbestos, we obscured the view of houses with pleached, photinia trees and cedar fencing. We incorporated Moroccan blue archways to guide the client and her guests to her raised seating area and writing room.
This client wanted to remove the maintenance element of grass and create an interesting welcome to the front door.
A sunny front garden has been transformed with low maintenance plants which provide evergreen structure and year round floral interest.
A new build garden provides a blank canvas, but often with hidden challenges such as compacted soil and drainage issues. We were not disappointed here! My client wanted a beautiful garden full of colour and interest throughout the year with different styles for the large space that could be viewed from many aspects.
Sweeping walk ways were created with tall oak archways framed with clematis and garden seats for resting and taking in the views. My clients enjoyed gardening and relished the maintenance. A second stage can just be seen in the foreground where we later added a pond
